ARMED ROBBERY OF POSTAL EMPLOYEE

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect who robbed an employee of the Maplecrest Finance Station Post Office located at 1767 Springfield Avenue, Maplewood, NJ. The Maplecrest Finance Station employee was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 2:15 pm on September 4, 2009. The lone gunman was brandishing a black and silver/gray colored handgun.

SUSPECT:   Dark skinned complexion, thin mustache, goatee, wearing a black t-shirt with dark gray writing on the front, light gray athletic shorts, and white or gray sneakers.
