The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect who attempted to
rob U.S. Postal Service employees on the 5400 block of S. Harper Avenue, Chicago,
IL. The attempted armed robbery occurred between 5:30pm – 6:00pm on September 1,
2016. The suspect was described as:

Suspect #1 j- large build, wearing all black clothing with a black cap and a dark do-rag underneath.

Male

Full shortened beard

6' 0" - 6' 1"

Unknown

275-300 lbs.

African American

Following the attempted robbery, the offender ran westbound on E. Rochdale Place towards the 5500 block of S. Blackstone Avenue.
