The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for theft of U.S. Mail in and around Camp Verde, AZ.
Between November 1, 2015 and December 18, 2015, unknown individual(s) have broken into and vandalized 27 USPS Neighbor Distribution Cluster Box Units throughout Camp Verde and in the Sedona area. Thus far, an estimated $4,675.00 have been lost due to damaged property and or stolen U.S. Mail from victims of mail theft.
Theft of U.S. Mail is a federal offense, under United States Code 18 Section 1708. Persons convicted on charges of mail theft may face up to five years in federal prison and fines of up to $250,000.
