REWARD OF UP TO $50,000 FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO
ARREST OF CARJACKING SUSPECTS

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information and services leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals who carjacked a U.S. Postal Service van in the vicinity of the railroad tracks near 693 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, NY 14615.

On Saturday, September 28, 2013, at approximately 11:42 a.m., three suspects in a tan-gold vehicle, possibly a Mazda MPV, stopped their vehicle in front of a U.S. Postal Service van. One of the subjects approached the van, brandished a handgun, and ordered the letter carrier out of the van. Suspects in the postal van and suspect vehicle fled the scene. The van was abandoned near 839 Flower City Park, Rochester, NY 14615.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic or light-complexioned black male in his early to mid-20s, approximately 5'9", about 150 lbs., wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt. His face was covered by a grey-blue scarf.

Do not approach the suspects: They should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information should contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455, option 2. Refer to Case No. 1999396-ROBB. Callers may remain anonymous.

You may view the reward poster for this case under the Press Room tab of the Postal Inspection Service website.
